When UGSI Solutions, Inc. acquired PAX Water Technologies in 2017, corporate management was impressed by the integrated business solution PAX had assembled on the Salesforce platform. Building that solution was led by Ken Christiansen, augeō’s founder and CEO, who was COO/CFO of PAX at the time.
Under Ken’s leadership, PAX had collected all business processes into one place with Salesforce. The opportunity pipeline received leads funneled from outbound marketing and webinars. Newly won deals made their way through the Salesforce and Accounting Seed environment — passing through sales orders, manufacturing, shipping, billing, and warranty service.
UGSI corporate conducted a thorough review of the Accounting Seed-Salesforce BPM in operation at PAX, in order to determine how to migrate the company’s accounting to the business platform that its other divisions used. Upon review, however, UGSI corporate CFO Chris Chisholm decided to keep the Salesforce and Accounting Seed integrated platform built by Ken and his team intact. Ultimately, UGSI outsourced the PAX accounting to augeō, which continues to manage PAX’s transactional accounting to this day. Managing the PAX account requires strong and frequent analysis and reports to the larger management organization, along with the day-to-day accounting functions such as audit support, and sales tax management.
“Given the tight linkage of PAX’s transaction accounting functions and its other business processes within Salesforce and Accounting Seed and, given our assessment of PAX Water’s business support requirements, we concluded maintaining its existing systems made the most sense following the acquisition,” said Chris Chisholm.
